01. About

I'm a software developer working mostly in Python, building systems for payments, digital commerce, and retail. That means API integrations, gift-card platforms, and the infrastructure that keeps them running in production. I like taking a messy problem and turning it into something small, testable, and boring in the best way.

Day to day that means writing backend services and third-party integrations, then following them through deployment on Azure and Kubernetes. Being part of a small team, I also pitch in on customer support. I care more about a system working reliably at 3am than about how it looks on a slide.

  1. Senior Software Developer

    2011 - Present

    Pit Stop Recharge, Sydney, Australia

    Started remotely from Nepal in 2011, then from New Zealand from 2014 while completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology, and relocated to Sydney full-time in 2016. Handle system analysis, design, and backend development in Python for a self-service kiosk platform where customers buy mobile recharge vouchers and gift cards, and charge their phones, paying by cash, card, or loyalty points. There's a central web portal for admins to monitor the fleet. Runs on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with Docker.

  2. Senior Software Engineer

    2007 - 2011

    Professional Computer System Pvt. Ltd., Kathmandu, Nepal

    Started as an Analyst/Programmer and was promoted to Senior Software Engineer. ASP, C#, and VB.NET development, covering database design, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
